Q: How many batteries can a PakTrakr monitor?
A: The PakTrakr 600 package monitors 6 batteries. Four additional
6-battery Remotes may be connected, to monitor up to 30 total
batteries. (See illustration below). Using 8-battery Remotes, up to
40 (3.2V, 6V, or 8V) batteries may be monitored.
Q: What is the cost for the PakTrakr 600EV and additional
Remotes?
A: The PakTrakr 600EV is $150, and additional Remotes are $70.
Q: Can I monitor current as well?
A: Yes, an optional current sensor may be added at any time. The
current sensor is a Hall-effect device (no shunt required), and is
priced at $50.
Q: Is there a serial interface for logging data to a PC?
A: Yes, the PakTrakr sends out a CSV data stream every second,
containing all the battery data. By attaching a PC to the PakTrakr
via the optional serial interface, the data may be easily read into a
spreadsheet for analysis.
